Literature Text
Once I made a wish
That I could hold you for all time...
Once I made a wish
That I'd be yours and you'd be mine...
But like a flame that burns away
'Til it has nothing more to give
Put out by the dampness in the air
Before it had even kindled its last twig...
The hope that I once had
That I'd be yours and you'd be mine...
Met with the coldness of cruel fate...
And is now a memory... Lost to time
That I could hold you for all time...
Once I made a wish
That I'd be yours and you'd be mine...
But like a flame that burns away
'Til it has nothing more to give
Put out by the dampness in the air
Before it had even kindled its last twig...
The hope that I once had
That I'd be yours and you'd be mine...
Met with the coldness of cruel fate...
And is now a memory... Lost to time

how many broken relationships does it take
it was easy to forget to love you.
so perhaps it’s my fault for our brokenness

i am trying to forget to love you again
but i’m still writing poems about what broke us,
summing us up in stanzas about lightbulbs;
do you

He visits;
Only he’s neither voice nor breath.
So when
He knocks upon the door of your soul,
Don’t presume he’s so sinister.
Just say hello.

He has a monster that lives inside of him
That he desperately tries to keep people from seeing
But he gets to see her beautiful bespectacled eyes everyday
So he considered himself lucky
She was dangerous due to her powers
She was told to do various tasks that are often dangerous
Therefore, she never had the chance to make friends
Her parents died brutally in front of her
But she gets to see his short blonde hair everyday
So she considered herself lucky
They got to take in each other’s scents
They got to make each other laugh
They got to feel t

Awe this is such a sweet caring poem! The fact that it doesn't reflect a personal experience you've had makes it even better written. I really like it. It's witty, sweet, a heart ache and soft :3
